Anna Lena van Iersel is a Dutch illustrator, educator and creative instagrammer. Her colorful and communicative illustrations have helped clients like KPMG, Women’s Health and the Tutu Shop underline their ideas.
She teaches workshops for companies and creatives. Besides teaching, she loves writing about her craft in the form of blogs. Her illustration studio began out of a lifelong need to draw, and took off while she was getting her MSc Industrial Design at TU Delft.
All Anna Lena’s illustration work is made partially by hand, partially digitally. By using analog elements and textures, and combining these with digital crispness, a unique appearance is achieved. Whether working on a mural or on a postcard, her work is filled to the brim with personality.
Anna Lena loves cooking, dancing and old buildings. When she is not painting in her studio she likes being outside, wandering around beautiful Gouda. With it’s medieval, romantic atmosphere, it is the perfect place for an artist to get inspired and explore. Her favorite spots to work are her studio, libraries, and en plein air.
